Udaipur is a delightful city of Rajasthan near the Thar Desert, separated by the Aravali Range. It is the sixth largest city in Rajasthan and a much-admired tourist destination for its epic history, traditional culture, picturesque locations and huge royal palaces dating back to the Rajput era.

The major attractions of the city palace are the crystal gallery, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khaas, vintage car museum, Maharani Palace and the beautiful view of the city and lake Pichola.
It is the most visited places standing elegantly on Jaggiwas Island of Lake Pichola. It is the most romantic site of Rajasthan with a background of Aravali Hills and now maintain and operated by “Taj Hotels, resorts and Islands” as a luxury 5-star hotel.
It is an artificial lake, housing three small islands within it, which are easily accessible by motorboat. It was a venue for many national and international events, hosting India’s first World Music Festival. It is the best place for a family outing.
It stands gloriously on Jag Mandir Islands of Pichola Lakes since the 17th century, having an outstanding architecture of marbles.
The Garden of Maidens was built for the maids who accompanied the Princess of Udaipur, where they can do some recreational activities like singing, dancing, playing etc. It has been beautifully maintained and one and spend some peaceful time there and even can click some photographs in traditional dresses of Rajasthan which you will get in rent over there.
It’s a perfect place for archeologists or historians as it provides an insight to the lifestyle, tradition and culture of Rajput era.

It’s a royal cremation ground with many royal kings, queens, prince and princess but among all Maharana Sangram Singh’s cenotaph is quiet attractive and famous with the tourist.
Built in 2008 , it provides a ropeway link between Karni Mata Temple; a Hindu temple located on Machla Magra Hills to Deendayal Upadhyay Park. It provides a magnificent view of city, lakes and Aravali Hills.

But it is very important to know that from where to get these entire things.
Located adjacent to City Palace Complex, has immense variety of wooden handicrafts, miniature paintings, slippers made from camel skin and folk arts. Although prices are fairly charged but some bargaining is good for pocket. Shops are generally closed on Sundays.

Winters are the best period to go to Udaipur because of its pleasant weather, mornings are sunny whereas nights are quiet cool. One can visit between September to March to have a comfortable visit to all the famous places.
